The pleasure that comes with working for Mimmy adventure as a freelancer guide is amazing. Ennis (Mimmy adventure freelance guide from Malaysia), excitedly explained in an interview by Chris (Mimmy adventure staff), on how beautiful and satisfying his job is. Without Further ado, let’s get down to the interview.

Question: What made you interested in working with Mimmy Adventures?

Answer: The vast knowledge that I have about insects is in line with Mimmy Adventure’s core mission of educating the children on nature diversity. Impacting the knowledge on the kids is my main mission 

Question: What benefits do you think the kids get after learning about the insects?

Answer:  They reap big in terms of getting the knowledge where they learn that insects are harmless and stop getting scared about them. They change their mindset about that. The purpose is to let them know that insects are friendly and easy to handle for instance, the beetles. In addition they get to learn their importance in our planet.

Question 3: Is it right to conclude that the insects benefit when the kids learn about them and the kids benefit from the knowledge? 

Answer: Yes this is a win-win situation for both the insects and the kids in that the insects now gain the protection from the kids where they learn their benefits and the education empowers the kids too.

Question: Would you describe how it is like to apply the guide job with Mimmy Adventure. Is there anything that put you off during the application process that almost made you not apply?

Answer: I got a message through my Instagram and I had no idea about the Mimmy Adventure education platform but I enquired through my friend Cindy. My zero knowledge about teaching discouraged me. Later,  I was told that I can be trained on how to go about it step by step.  A friend, who is now a co-worker (Cindy), encouraged me that this is a good platform and I should go ahead and grab the opportunity. I am now a happy worker and easy at work.

Question: This means you connected with Cindy before you joined Mimmy Adventure who you later recommended her to join Mimmy Adventure, right?

Answer: Immediately I received the message request about working with Mimmy Adventure, I asked Cindy (a friend)  about the education platform opportunity since she got the experience of teaching kids herself. So she guided me how to handle kids in teaching and I am so proud that she later joined Mimmy Adventure after I recommended her.

Question: Do you now find it easier to work with Mimmy Adventure Education Platform?

Answer: Yes, Initially, since I was still new, I could find it a little bit complicated but after 3 or 4 lessons I was able to be calm in my teachings and everything started being enjoyable. Since I joined the company while it was new, the training videos weren’t ready by then. But as per now everything is set up and the training is set up ready for guides to teach the children which makes work easier.

Question: How is the working lifestyle of Mimmy Adventure like compared to regular work.

Answer: Very flexible, free and enjoyable since I am a part-time worker at Mimmy Adventure. My other part time job is as an Interiors Designer. I am able to perfectly balance my work at Mimmy Adventure, which is a blessing indeed.

Question: What are the advantages of working with Mimmy Adventure?

Answer: The extra income that comes with working with Mimmy is very exciting and secondly, you gained knowledge on teaching which was something new for me which has awakened my interest in teaching field. Now I teach the people around me especially the Japanese kids and my friends about the insects, something I couldn’t do before.

Question: What in general do the kids get out of Mimmy Adventure?

Answer: Mimmy kids are able to know the insects and get rid of the fear of insects.  Their basic knowledge about insects heightens after the right teachings which are very important. They find no reasons to kill the insects since the insects are now important to them.

Question: What do you want for the future of the kids who participate in your adventures?

Answer: I hope they can get curious to learn more on how insects interact with humans on the planet and they can get to raise more questions on how the insects live in the wild and how they work in nature. The age of the kids play a role in what they ought to learn at that stage.

Question: What is it about insects that fascinates you so much?

Answer:   I enjoy the knowledge about insects especially the food chain they have in nature. Their camouflage in their natural settings and their protective tricks from  predators really excites me.

 Question: Do you think the kids are becoming more interests in insects because of your adventures?

Answer: Yes. I use live content to show them about the insect adventure which is very interesting and making them  join the adventure. Since my insect projects and contents are very popular, I also try to get feedback from the parents about which insects would scare away the kids and try not to scare them such as scorpions can be scarily at times. The feedback system should be incorporated in Mimmy Venture Projects so as to record the responses.

Question:  Would you tell us about your country as well and what you would like the world to know about your country?

Answer:  The culture. Since every country has its own unique culture, Malaysia has merged Malay, Chinese and India. Our national language is Bahasa Malaysia. I wouldn’t mind educating this to other people especially the kids.

Question: Do you think you can share your culture with the kids through the Mimmy Adventures?

Answer: Sure. Coincidentally, I have some of my insects project content in Malaysia Languages which I can share and help them understand by interpreting to them.  Question: Do you think there are any benefits to book Mimmy Adventures at your own free time?

Answer|: Yes, the benefits are many among them being the education benefits which are unique to Mimmy Adventures.

Question: Do you have anything that you want to tell the kids in the world.

Answer: Yes, knowledge about the insects. Since we are specialist in the insects’ knowledge, I would like them to know that we got the best knowledge and we are willing to share with them. 

Question: Would you recommend Mimmy to friends as a good company to work for?

Answer: Yeah, definitely I would do so since the guides in Mimmy are universal and the content is diverse and easy to understand. So I would love my friends to join and contribute to the diversity of Mimmy guide content too.

Answer:  Yes. They are fortunate since they can enjoy the extra income. They also got a platform where they can share their countries’ culture too. This is interesting.
